TWO vulnerable residents of Mutare Central received a major boost after businessman and philanthropist, Mr Isau Mupfumi extended assistance to a person living with disability in Ward Three and a fire victim in Ward Two.
Mr Panganai Chitiyo received a wheelchair to improve his mobility, while Ms Beatrice Mukunga, who lost clothes, furniture and foodstuffs when her house was gutted by fire due to an electrical fault, received support to help her recover from the devastating loss.
Receiving the wheelchair, Mr Chitiyo said: “I feel remembered and valued. This assistance will greatly improve my mobility and daily life.”
An emotional Ms Mukunga said: “I had lost hope after the disaster, but this support gives me strength to rebuild and take care of my family.”

Mr Mupfumi said the gesture was part of his commitment to uplift vulnerable members of the community.
“Our duty is to stand with the people during difficult times and ensure that no one is left behind. Together, we can restore hope and dignity in our communities,” he said.
