She is the girl who stopped hearts and stole the spotlight on Britain’s Got Talent 2025 with a Golden Buzzer moment that sent shockwaves across the globe, and now UK-based gospel star Linda Mudzenda has delivered a performance for the ages on home soil.
Harare was the place to be this Independence Day as fans thronged 99 Parklane for Mudzenda’s much-anticipated debut live recording, ‘Jesus and Me’ — a night that blended world-class vocals, raw emotion, and powerful worship into one unforgettable experience.
From the outset, it was clear this was no ordinary event.
This was history in the making.
Taking to the stage in a stunning, elegant outfit that perfectly matched the magnitude of her voice, Mudzenda brought nothing short of excellence.
Every note was precise, every run intentional, and every song delivered with conviction.
It felt like a live broadcast of BGT right in the heart of Harare, as fans leapt to their feet, cheering, clapping, and singing along in admiration.
And she didn’t disappoint.
“This project is very personal to me,” Mudzenda told the crowd, her voice trembling with emotion.
“There was a time I almost lost my life. I went through depression because of what I experienced… but through it all, God carried me.”
“I wrote the song Gamuchira, I knew it all will end with Him,” she said.
That moment of vulnerability set the tone for the night.
Jesus and Me is not just an album — it is a testimony.
A deeply personal body of work inspired by her journey through pain, healing, and rediscovery of faith.
Each song reflected a chapter of her life, turning the live recording into more than a musical showcase it became a spiritual encounter.
The Independence Day setting made the night even more symbolic, with many fans describing the concert as a “gift” not just entertainment, but a moment of reflection and inspiration.
“She gave us something meaningful on a day that already means so much to us,” one fan said.
The energy in the room was electric, yet intimate.
At times, it felt like a personal worship session; at others, a grand concert worthy of global stages.
That delicate balance is what sets Mudzenda apart — the ability to command a stage while still connecting deeply with her audience.
She was not alone in delivering the magic.
A stellar lineup of gospel heavyweights joined her on stage, adding richness and diversity to the night’s performances. Among them were Everton Mlalazi, Nyasha Mutonhori, In Accord, Kupa Muzukira, Radiance Acapella and Tawanda Midzi — all of whom rose to the occasion, matching Mudzenda’s intensity and passion.
Fellow artists could not hide their admiration.
“This is raw talent. This is your chance to shine. You have been in my journey and when you invited me to be part of this project, I could not say no as I was waiting for you to come out of the shell,” remarked Everton Mlalazi.
“Well done and Linda has something special, and tonight she proved that she belongs on the world stage.”
Based in the UK, Mudzenda continues to build an international profile, but her roots remain firmly planted in Zimbabwe something she made clear throughout the night.
“This is home,” she said. “And I wanted to share this moment with my people.”
Indeed, the crowd responded in kind, giving her a hero’s welcome and unwavering support from start to finish.
If there were any doubts about her staying power after her BGT breakthrough, this performance silenced them all.
Mudzenda is not just riding the wave of a viral moment she is building a legacy.
With Jesus and Me, she has taken a bold step into a new chapter, one defined by authenticity, faith, and undeniable talent.
