GIANT telecoms infrastructure carrier, Liquid Telecom, has been named the best African wholesale carrier for innovation and service excellence.
Liquid Telecom, a subsidiary of the Econet Wireless Group, received the prestigious honour for the fourth consecutive year at the recent annual Global Carrier Awards in France.
The awards are dedicated exclusively to wholesale telecoms and are independently judged by a panel of telecoms analysts, industry experts and a senior editorial team of Capacity magazine.
Liquid CEO Nic Rudnick said the achievement was outstanding.
“I would like to congratulate everyone at Liquid Telecom on this outstanding achievement. Four years in a row is something to be celebrated,” he said.
Liquid shrugged off competition from shortlisted companies such as PCCW Global, Emerging Marketing Communications and WIOCC. Rudnick said the company will continue to work hard to improve its profile by adding new and innovative services and adding value for retail customers.
“We understand Africa and its challenges and we don’t let it stop us in our goal to connect the entire continent and enable the people and businesses of Africa to prosper,” he said.
Liquid provides fibre, wireless and satellite network across Africa including Zimbabwe.
