The songstress was clearly the icing on the cake as she started off her show with love.
“Love is beautiful and feels good. Let’s spread it around,” she said.
The rest of the songs carried the same vibe that left the audience begging for more. Her second appearance in two years had been long time coming but her polished act made the wait worthwhile.
Language was not a barrier as the songbird took time to explain the meaning of each song to her local fans.
She did not only show off her vocal abilities but exhibited her dancing moves through a well co-ordinated choreography.
She also took the time to dish a thing or two about the dance moves that are currently causing a stir in South Africa. The response was positive as they proved popular among the audience.
It was a soulful performance for her fans who went crazy when she declared: “I can’t help loving you!”
As Lira performed her new song “Say Yeah” she sang the song’s modulations in an extended vocal showcase and got the crowd to sing along with her.
She also performed tracks like “Phakade”, “Ngiyazifela”, “Ixchesha”. She closed the show with the classic, “Pata-Pata”, that was originally done by the late Miriam Makeba.
She took a bow as the curtain came down but memories of the show shall linger in he fans’ minds for a long time to come.
