Lisa Morgan embarks on kidney awareness campaign

Miss Universe Zimbabwe Lisa Morgan with help from Rainbow Tourism Group and the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, the dinner was held to assist two boys, Jonathan Jones and Dalubuhle Moyo to undergo kidney transplant.
The two would need at least US$60 000 for the operation and Lisa who launched the kidney campaign since the beginning of her reign, said she was touched by the plight of the two boys.
“I might not be a renal patient, but I felt it was proper to raise funds for people living with the condition and I believe this is not just my campaign but everyone else.
“At the dinner we managed to raise US$10 000 from the auction and I am pleased that there are many more well-wishers who are assisting with cash,” the vivacious Lisa said.
She urged all those who are willing to assist to get in touch with her or through the ZTA offices.
Although Lisa as Miss Universe Zimbabwe did not attend the Miss Universe, she said she was now setting her sights on Miss International scheduled for China later this year.
She, however, congratulated Miss Angola Laila Lopes, who became the first African model to win the Miss Universe crown since the pageant started a decade ago.
“I was happy for her and I believe her win has rejuvenated my hopes of doing better at the Miss International. At times it’s all about believing in yourself and grabbing the opportunity when it comes,” she said.
