ZIMPAPERS PARTNERS GOVERNMENT IN AI POLICY FORMULATION
Speaking at the event, Zimpapers Acting CEO Mr William Chikoto said the company will continue collaborating with Government in crafting AI policies for the country’s adoption, citing this week’s launch of the Zimbabwe Media Policy by President Mnangagwa.


“As we embark on this journey today of exploration and innovation, let us seize this opportunity to learn, collaborate and pave the way for a future where AI and machine learning drive progress and development for Zimbabwe,” said Mr Chikoto.
LEVERAGING ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION ON ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
In his speech, Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development Minister Ambassador Fredrick Shava, who was represented by the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Professor Fanuel Tagwira said AI has huge potential to transform economies.

Minister Shava said Government has embraced inclusive digital transformation to bridge the digital divide between urban and rural areas to ensure that no one and no place is left behind.

He said the country will continue investing in affordable internet and solar-powered devices so that learning institutions in all provinces can participate in the AI era

Innovative Rimbi High learners explain how their four project work1qqq.
Each serves a different purpose.
One detects and monitors soil erosion, while the other detects impending earthquakes.

Their other innovation can be able to trap and catch thieves as does the other monitors water levels in containers like tanks
LEANERS AWARDED FOR INNOVATION
The three Rimbi High learners each receive a smart phone from NetOne CEO and Zimpapers board member Engineer Raphael Mushanawani for their impressive innovation that serves four purposes.

Their innovation drew plaudits from the audience, highlight how AI can be harnessed to provide smart solutions facing people
