Liverpool spending spree goes on

Liverpool have seen a £12.5 million bid to sign England defender Nathaniel Clyne from Southampton accepted as their recruitment drive continues apace. The offer for Clyne, who won the first of his five England caps against Slovenia last November, is understood to be a £10.5m down payment plus £2m in add-ons.

Liverpool have been in the market for a right back after deciding to allow Glen Johnson to leave Anfield at the end of his contract and try to cut short Javier Manquilo’s two-year loan from Atletico Madrid. — Dailyonline.
