Local bourse opens higher

The Zimbabwe Stock Exchange’s All Share index closed higher at 112.11 after gaining 2.12 points (or 1, 93 percent) on the back of strong performance in heavy weight counters.

Giant cigarette producer BAT Zimbabwe added $1, 9607 to trade at $24, 9607, while beverages giant Delta Corporation was up $0, 0700 to trade at $2, 200 and Econet increased by $0, 0497 to close at $1, 0497.

Proplastics traded $0, 0040 higher at $0, 0840 and clothing retailer Edgars moved up $0, 0010 to settle at $0, 0530.

On the downside, First Mutual holdings shed $0, 0090 to close at $0, 1400 while OK Zimbabwe and Zimre marginally dropped $0.0001 each to close at $0.02099 and $0.0230 respectively. – BH24 Reporter
