Local derbies take centre stage

TWO Bulawayo derbies take centre stage when the Zifa Southern Region roars into Week 12 round of matches scheduled for this weekend.

The first derby involves struggling Black Boots as they travel to Luveve Stadium to meet Bosso90 a�� a Highlanders Football Club-owned development team a�� on Saturday.

Black Boots are finding the going tough and have just managed a single win and four draws to amass a paltry seven points leaving the Zimbabwe Republic Police bankrolled side on 11th position.

Across town at White City Stadium league debutantes Zim Leopards host Talen Vision on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the Zifa Southern Region will observe a minute of silence before all its weekend matches as instructed by the national football mother body.

Zifa has declared a week of mourning for the Warriors legend and former Zifa executive member Edzai Kasinauyo.

Match officials handling matches have been requested to ensure that all players line-up in the centre or around the centre circle and observe a minutea��s silence for the former Ajax Cape Town and Moroka Swallows midfielder.

Kasinauyo passed away last week at the Donald Gordon Medical Centre in Johannesburg where he had been admitted for a few days.

He was 42.

a�?All match officials have been instructed to observe the minute of silence before kickoff and we expect them to comply,a�? said Zifa Southern Region league administrator Augustine Ndlovu.
