WITH Zimbabwe progressing towards an e-economy, ubiquity of digital services is critical.

An e-economy is typically characterised by extensive use of the Internet and information technology.

But, recent power outages are a concern for small-to-medium enterprises, many of which operate outside the central business district.

ICT solutions provider, Future Tide has embarked on a project to enhance access to information communication technologies.

Said Future Tide spokesperson, Ms Charmaine Chaumba:

“In an era where information-driven innovation has become the norm globally, access to affordable and efficient information communication technology infrastructure affords citizens a chance to become part of the global digital economy, thus bettering their livelihoods through reduction of poverty.”

One of their products, the Mini DC UPS for example, allows Wi-Fi users to remain connected during power outages.

Future Tide also offers enhanced networking products, such as ADSS fiber optic cables.
