LODGE DISMISSES FAKE PUBLIC NOTICE

TAEDZWA City Lodge in Epworth has dismissed as FAKE a notice circulating on social media warning clients of H-Metro journalists, who want to bust their privacy, and crooked cops looking for bribes.

The lodge manager, who declined to identify himself, suggested that competitors may have created the notice in an attempt to damage their reputation.

The manager told H-Metro that several individuals had contacted the lodge about the fake notice, which has spread through social media.

“We never put up any such notice although we have been witnessing such bogus people fleecing our clients.

“We strongly suspect that our competitors are the ones behind that notice circulating on social media.

“They used our name and contacts to tarnish us, but we are not moved by it.

“The message is true considering what happens at various hotels and lodges where bogus people threaten clients, but our lodge has never displayed any such notice,” he said.

H-Metro reporters have no record of threatening people and they carry Zimbabwe Media Commission press cards.

However, the newspaper is aware of scores of people who go around claiming they work for H-Metro.

Most of these bogus journalists will be out to swindle people of their money by threatening to ‘expose’ them.
