Love cheat axes boyfriend

A 38-year-old woman from Venard Farm in Centenary was arrested after fatally striking her 30-year-old boyfriend with an axe after being caught red-handed with another boyfriend.

Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Assistant Inspector Naison Dhliwayo said the incident happened on August 27 at around 10 pm after the complainant Alexandra Mazarura visited his girlfriend Chemutale Chematsaka.

Mazarura wanted to rekindle the love relationship when he saw Chematsaka hosting another man, Stanley Shaba (40). Ass Insp Dhliwayo said an altercation arose and Chematsaka picked up an axe and struck Mazarura on the forehead.

He sustained a deep cut and was rushed to the hospital. A report was made to the police and Chematsaka was arrested.

Ass Insp Dhliwayo urged people to shun violence and adopt peaceful conflict resolution methods.
