AN Epworth man has developed a habit of threatening his former wife with violence after she refused to reconcile with him.
Beauty Marizano successfully applied for a peace order against Augustine Svinurai at the Harare Civil Court.
During the court hearing, Marizano said:
“My husband is coming to my workplace, breaching my peace as well as tarnishing my name.“We divorced in August after he spent the whole night holding a knife achida kindiisa nyora mumaoko.
“His intention is for us to reconcile but he is a violent person.
“During our marriage, he assaulted me several times.
“I don’t want him to approach my house or workplace,” said Marizano.
Svinurai was not in court to defend himself.
In her ruling, presiding magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted the peace order in default.
