A BUDIRIRO man was arrested for attacking another man, who tried to rescue a girl he was fondling, at a car wash.
Impression Sairosi tried to strike Lucky Dube with an axe.
The matter was reported at Budiriro Police Station under RRB 5135081.
A close source said the accused appeared drunk on the day in question.
“This horror started at Budiriro 1 shops, at a car wash, when Lucky was washing cars.
“Impression was with a friend.
“They approached a girl, who resides in the same area, and they started fondling her breasts,” said the source.
Dube advised the two to stop their conduct but Impression became violent.
“He then stabbed Luck with a knife in the face.
“Lucky tried to disarm him, but failed.
“Lucky then fled and sought refuge at his house,” the source said.
Impression was incensed and followed him home.
“He forced open the door and tried to strike Lucky with an axe, but missed.
“Police came just in the nick of time, but that didn’t stop him threatening to kill Lucky.
“He said he would come after him after his release,” said the source.
