unbeaten Lucky Sam by Lisa Harris will go to the starting stalls for the first time against his stablemate Expeditions in the running of the Jacaranda Free Handicap 1 200m sprint at Borrowdale racecourse tomorrow.
The two equine athletes are entering the feature race after being jointly awarded the crown for two-year olds by the Spey Bridge panel.
Going for his third career run, the chestnut gelding Lucky Sam (1) gets the services of Quinton Riddle after having won the last run on June 16 with Gavin Lerena.
At number two on the card is Expeditious who is in top form after winning the last three runs and once again Randall Simons holds the straps.
With more runs under her hoof, the filly won the Champagne Stakes at the end of July and there is little doubt that she is more than capable of beating her stable companion who will be half a kilogramme, worse off weight.
Trainer Kirk Swanson saddles in the Argonaut offspring, Ernie Or Else, who won by a comfortable seven lens during the first meeting of the current season but had previously lost to Expeditious in April.
Stable jockey Sherman Brown will pilot the horse that will need a big improvement to upset the Harris duo.
Amy Bronkhurst sends out Milady (Stalone Sawere) and Flamingo Lily (Karl Zechner). Milady (6) finished off the season winning the Breeder’s Fillies Mile over 1600m. Princess Kate (Lance Pagel) from the Gokhan Terzi yard is another filly that should not be left out of many bets. Impressive in her debut start, when winning well, Princess Kate ran below par in the Champion Juvenile before giving an impressive showing in the next race. A total of seven races are on lined up with Jacaranda handicap getting US$ 9 000 in stakes for the horse.
