Lunga reveals what Sundowns coaches told him

JOHANNESBURG. Zimbabwe international Divine Lunga has revealed what Mamelodi Sundowns coaches told him before loaning him out to Golden Arrows.

The 27-year-old left-back was one of the top players for Abafana Bes’thende when they finished in the top four under coach Mandla Ncikazi.

Speaking after Arrows’ victory over Chippa United over the weekend, Lunga said he is just a player and can’t control coaches’ decisions.

“Those things they come up with coaches, I’m just a player, and I need to focus on that. “They told me I still have a future with them, but I focus on doing well for myself and improving as a player. The rest will follow,” Lunga explained.

“The coaches know better than me on what happened at Chloorkop. They didn’t tell me anything. I saw by myself that I must fight like a man, compete because I want to play football, so that’s what I’m capable of doing.” – FARPost
