MANDLA Luphahla has defended his efforts to locate his missing wife, Faith Masina, insisting that he will not be discouraged from searching for her despite allegations by her relatives that he has been harassing them.
Speaking in response to accusations made by members of Faith’s family, Luphahla said he believed that some of her relatives knew where she was and were deliberately withholding that information.
“I will not be deterred by anyone from looking for my wife. I know that some of her relatives are hiding her and I will use every possible means to make sure I find her,” said Luphahla.
He, however, did not elaborate on what action he intended to take but maintained that he was determined to reunite with his wife.
Luphahla also dismissed claims that his actions were meant to intimidate Faith’s relatives, saying he was simply pursuing every avenue available to locate her.
“This is my wife that we are talking about, and I have every right to look for her. I will continue searching for her until I know where she is. Further, she has my son and that is my blood, I will use all my powers to find them,” he said.
He further claimed that he had influential connections that would assist him in the search.
“I am a highly connected man, and I will use all my connections to get Faith back,” he said.
The remarks come after Faith’s relatives alleged that Luphahla had been terrorising them, accusing them of concealing her whereabouts after she reportedly fled their matrimonial home.
The family alleges that Faith endured years of abuse during the marriage and that her disappearance followed escalating tensions in the home.
Luphahla denied the allegations and insisted that the claims being circulated against him were false and intended to tarnish his reputation.
“There are many lies being said about me, but my focus right now is to find my wife. That is all I want,” he said.
Efforts to obtain comment from Faith’s relatives following Luphahla’s remarks were unsuccessful at the time of publication.
The matter has reportedly heightened tensions between the two families, with concerns growing over Faith’s safety and the welfare of those close to her.
Authorities had not yet commented on the latest developments by the time of publication.
