SIMBA Bhora coach Joel Luphahla has dismissed reports that he is on his way to struggling Chicken Inn.
The Gamecocks are having a nightmarish start of the season.
A lot of coaches have been suggested as possible replacements for veteran coach, Joey Antipas, and Luphahla’s name has been featuring prominently.
Luphahla said reports linking him with a move from Shamva were mere speculation.
“I saw those reports but the truth is I am committed to this project, I signed a two-year contract and I’m here to defend the title,” said Luphahla.
“Only the owners of this team can make that decision but at the moment my focus is building this team.
“Unless they tell me that we don’t need you at this club anymore, that is when I can only leave.”
Simba Bhora are just four points away from leaders MWOS, who are setting the pace with 30 points.
Luphahla’s men missed the chance to narrow down the gap following their goalless draw with Ngezi Platinum Stars at Wadzanai.
They managed to keep their unbeaten home record at their fortress this season.
Last year, Simba powered to the title thanks to the way they ensured teams did not pick maximum points in their backyard in Shamva.
The only game they lost was the last one against FC Platinum.
However, by then, they had already won the title.
