Miss Universe Zimbabwe Lyshanda Moyas says she is very proud and excited about her national costume, which she will reveal on Thursday as part of the Miss Universe final-week showcases in Thailand.

Although she kept the finer details a secret, Moyas said the outfit carries strong cultural meaning for her country.

“I can’t say much yet,” she said with a smile, “but what I can tell you is that the costume represents Zimbabwe in a powerful, beautiful way. I can’t wait for the world to see it on Thursday.”

Moyas has been steadily winning admiration from fellow contestants, including this year’s Miss Universe South Africa Melissa Nayimuli and Miss Universe Rwanda Solange Tuyishime Keita, who both praised her confidence and warm personality.

Nayimuli spoke highly of the Zimbabwean beauty queen’s stage presence and calm demeanour.

“Lyshanda carries herself with such calm strength,” she said. “She is always warm, positive, and you can tell she believes in her purpose. I admire her confidence, and I’m wishing her the very best.”

Keita described Moyas as one of the most inspiring contestants she has met.

“She has this gentle confidence that lights up every room,” she said. “Zimbabwe should be proud of her. I’m excited to see her national costume because she talks about her country with so much love.”

Meanwhile, contestants are preparing intensely for the Miss Universe final week, polishing their choreography, perfecting wardrobe pieces, and sharpening their performances ahead of the grand finale.

The national costume show is a crowd-favourite segment that is expected to draw enormous attention as the delegates present the history, artistry, and cultural depth of their home nations.

For Moyas, Thursday’s appearance will be more than a display of fashion; it will be a tribute to her home.

“This costume is a piece of Zimbabwe,” she said. “Walking out in it will be an honour.
