Mabvuku child Parliamentarian dies

Child parliamentarian for Mabvuku-Chizhanje and Tafara High 2 student died at the weekend after complaining of chest pains.
He was 14. Brian Zulu a child senator for Mabvuku-Chizhanje and Tafara died at Mabvuku Clinic last Saturday. He was a gifted orator who at Form 2, beat other Form 4 and A-Levels students to win the seat in a tightly contested race.

Tafara High 2 deputy headmaster Mr Kennison Kadembo said: “Brian was a popular and very promising student.
“The whole school is greatly saddened by this loss and extends its deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

“As a child senator he managed to raise the profile of our school.
“He was gifted academically and a role model for other students. Its sad that we have lost such a gifted and intelligent student.”
Zimbabwe Child President Ntandoyenkosi Moyo of Milton High School paid tribute to Brian saying he was disturbed by the death of a promising student.

“I’m shocked to hear about his death. Our prayers are with his family, relatives and fellow school mates at Tafara High 2.
May his soul rest in peace,” he said.

Brian was laid to rest Mabvuku Cemetery yesterday. Scores of students from Mabvuku and Tafara attended the funeral.
