Mabvuku residents in land dispute

A MABVUKU woman, Gladys Chidzawo, applied for a peace order against Webster Shingadeya yesterday to protect her minor child.

Gladys alleged Webster always visits her house in her absence, telling the court that her five-year-old child was always home alone.

“I am a domestic worker, my daughter is always home alone and it worries me that he visits in my absence.

“At some point, he asked for my daughter’s report book, yet we are not related,” said Gladys.

Webster disputed the allegations and told the court that they have a land dispute.

“I love children; why would she accuse me of such.

“She applied for a peace order after I served her with an eviction notice.

“I am the rightful owner of that stand,” Webster said.

Presiding magistrate, Rutendo Machingure dismissed the application, for lack of merit.
