AFTER successfully hosting Jah Prayzah in Canada recently, Slice T’s sons — Mike and Malcom Viriri — are simply unstoppable!

The siblings, who registered a promotional company called Biggaz Entertainment, are set to host Jamaican reggae artiste, Chris Martin, in Edmonton, on October 1.

Dubbed Edmonton Oktoberfest, the show was set to feature Nutty O and Enzo Ishall, who reportedly pulled out due to other commitments, back home.

However, the Chris Martin invitation is a done deal.

And, this show, which comes by public demand, is yet another test for the two siblings, who are learning the ropes from their father. Slice T is a radio personality and a former urban grooves singer who has ventured into music promotion.

Asked how they managed to convince Chris Martin to be part of the Edmonton Oktoberfest, Mike said:

“The idea came through our cousin, Martial Manyere who, together with our dad, sold the idea to us. We really welcomed it and started talks with Chris Martin’s camp.

“Chris Martin is an entertainer of repute and we do expect a solid festival.

“We have done it with Jah Prayzah  and this time we expect something big.

MALCOM Viriri

“Chris Martin has a wider audience and we are expecting nothing but fireworks.”

His younger brother, Malcolm,  reckons they have done their research.

“Chris Martin needs no introduction here. He is a legend already,” he said.

Malcolm said there were plans to add a Zimbabwean flavour at the gig.

“We were hoping to include Nutty O and Enzo Ishall to give them the much-needed exposure internationally.

“However, the two guys vanosaiza mhumhu but it’s okay, one day they will realise that we have a better vision for them.

“We couldn’t reach an agreement with them but we love our country Zimbabwe hence we will try by all means to engage them.

“Some of the artists are controlled or confused by their egos,” he said.

Malcolm hailed Jah Prayzah for blessing their journey.

“It was a great platform, a great success where we learnt a lot and I am still learning,” he said.

His brother, Mike said he hoped to build a strong relationship with Chris Martin.

“We haven’t met in person but we talk  just over the phone.

“He is cool, he has no big ego and he was interested in knowing more about our profile, we dealt more with the manager,” he said.
