Machacha tears into Geza

George Maponga in Masvingo

Zanu PF National Political Commissar, Cde Munyaradzi Machacha on Sunday tore into his uncle Blessed Geza whom he rapped for dishonesty.

Cde Machacha told Zanu PF members who attended a provincial coordinating committee meeting at Masvingo Polytechnic that while Geza is his uncle, his history of dishonesty and truancy was legendary.

He said he knows Geza very well since he was his real uncle.

“He (Geza) hates me very much, but he is my uncle and therefore a very close relative,” said Cde Machacha.

“I now want to tell you why he hates me and calls me chigananda (bourgeois). I hired him to transport my 10 tonnes of maize to GMB many, many years ago as my uncle, but when he delivered the maize, he used his name and was paid the proceeds and from then on he has been avoiding me and now hates me, I am still waiting for the payment.”

Cde Machacha added that his uncle has a reputation for dishonesty, crookedness and truancy, which he says was legendary even during the armed struggle in Mozambique.

“During the struggle when we were in Mozambique, he never went to the front or fired a single bullet, rather he stole food rations and clothing from the ordnance that he took outside camps for barter trade in exchange for things like beer.

“He would be publicly flogged for his bad habits but never stopped. I know this person and character (Mr Geza) because he is my close relative.”

The Zanu PF National Political Commissar sent the meeting into roaring laughter after he said while on training in Romania after independence, Geza even had the audacity to mislead his hosts that he was son to the late former President Cde Robert Mugabe and was driven in a limousine during his stint in the eastern European nation.
