Macheso hails Sulu’s creativity

Sungura King Alick Macheso led the musicians’ entourage which included Energy “Simbi yamudhara” Mutodi, Victor Kunonga, Taruvinga “Sugar-Sugar” Manjokoto, First Farai, Bob “The headmaster” Nyabinde,’ Dino Mudondo, Mukudzei “Jah Prayzah” Mukombe and sensational pole dancer Beverly “Bev” Sibanda.
Sulu gave people a feel of the album and judging from the audience’s reaction, the song “Njiva,” is surely going to be a sing along.
The self styled dance king, Franco “Slomo” Dhaka proved that he was still on top of the game with his good performances.
The Chimbetu family seems to be bridging the rival between Sulumani and Tryson as the two showed rare brotherly love on the stage.
Mai Chimbetu, Simon Chimbetu’s widow could be seen smiling at the sight of two performing together.
The fans were taken down memory lane when Sulu, Tryson, Alan and Peter “Young Igwe” Moyo remembered their inspirational fathers with the song “Ndarangarira Gamba”.
The song “Sean Timba,” which he collaborated with Jah Prayzah is a good musical project that is likely to receive a good response from fans.
It was clear during the performance of Sulu and Jah Prayzah that they had done their homework as attested by their stage work, which was tight and well co-ordinated. Macheso praised Sulu for his creativity and encouraged him to work harder.
“You have to keep the Dendera beat alive and you have proved that you can do that. Keep working hard,” said Macheso amidst loud cheers from the public.
