Sungura ace Alick Macheso and Orchestra Mberikwazvo put up a flawless act at Eland House at the weekend at a show dubbed “Sungura Love Affair”.A huge crowd turned up for the show and were not disappointed as Orchestra Mberikwazvo put up a well choreographed act.
Fans had an opportunity to sample songs off his forthcoming album which he said would be released soon.
Witness “Chuman” Matema also added colour to the event when he played yesteryear love classics, much to the delight of the capacity crowd.
It was a memorable weekend for Beitbridge revellers who were exposed to top notch shows. On Friday night they were entertained by Chuman at Pagomba Café during the Miss Valentine contest.
Bulawayo-based model Bionica Chipanje was crowned Miss Valentine Beitbridge after shrugging off competition from seven other models from Beitbridge, Bulawayo and Gwanda.
Thokozani Ndirande and Blessed Rutanhira were crowned first and second princesses respectively. For her efforts Chipanje received a 12-month employment contract at Pagomba Café while Ndirande and Rutanhira walked away with cash prizes and hampers.
Zimpraise Choir also gave a good account of themselves during a family show held at Pagomba Café on Saturday.
