Sungura ace Alick Macheso is set to perform at Legends Sports bar in Marondera where he is expected to stage his new songs from upcoming album “Tsoka Dzerwendo”. The album is set to be released on March 21.Macheso, through his spokesperson Tich Makahamadze, said they are ready for the show and has promised fireworks.

“As has become the norm, when we perform we do not disappoint. We always give our fans value for their money and time so people must come in their numbers and have a feel of our new songs that are on the upcoming album,” he said.

He also highlighted that they have introduced a new style called Mushika-shika dance which he believes fans in Marondera will enjoy.

“We have also a new dance, Mushika-shika dance and I am sure fans will definitely like it. Also with Jonasi back in the band, we are promising nothing but the best entertainment,’ he said.

Meanwhile, promoter Daniel Masaiti said the show is going to be one of his celebratory shows since he is celebrating the Outstanding Promoter Award he won at Nama recently.

“Macheso is one of the leading artistes in the country and as I am still celebrating my award I thought it wise to invite Macheso for the party. He is also is back to Marondera by public demand since he last performed in December,” said Masaiti.

“We are looking forward to a great show and Macheso never disappoints.”

Masaiti also added that he will also be working with upcoming musicians from Marondera and the surrounding areas whenever he takes in a big artiste as a way of promoting the upcoming artistes in Marondera.

Next week Macheso will continue with his campaign to take the new stuff to the people when he performs at Warren Park 1 Bar (former Council Beerhall) on Friday.

It will be his first time to perform in Warren Park after many years since the suburb did not have a show venue after Magamba Hall stopped hosting gigs.

Organisers of the show said they are happy to bring shows to Warren Park to entertain residents that had been travelling long distances to attend gigs.

They said more big artistes would be coming to perform at the venue this year and Macheso’s show would act as a launch of the programme.
