A man from Bulawayo’s Cowdray Park suburb is in trouble after he allegedly dragged two Grade Six female pupils into the bush and ordered them to strip naked before reportedly forcing them to perform sexual acts on him.
The accused, Thulani Dlamini (43), appeared before Western Commonage magistrate Mehluli Moyo, facing two counts of indecent assault.
He was not asked to plead and was remanded in custody until 18 March. He was advised to apply for bail at the High Court.
It is alleged that last Wednesday, Dlamini hid in the thicket. When the two minors approached his hiding place, he emerged wielding a machete.
He reportedly threatened to attack them and ordered them not to scream. The terrified minors remained silent, and he grabbed them by their hands, dragging them into a thicket.
Once there, he allegedly ordered them to strip naked. He then ordered one of them to lie on the ground and fondled the other.
As if that was not enough, he allegedly ordered one of the pair to perform sexual acts on him. However, his disturbing attack was abruptly interrupted when he heard screams from someone who was suspected to be under attack by robbers.
He fled, leaving the terrified minors at the scene. Police officers on patrol spotted him and apprehended him. They later learned that he had indecently assaulted minors.
The minors walked to their respective homes and informed their parents. The matter was reported to the police, leading to Dlamini’s arrest.
