Madam Boss moving in right direction

MADAM boss is in Los Angeles, also known as the City of Angels, for the 2024 BET Awards at the Peacock Theatre tomorrow night.

She will be in the presence of superstars like Usher, Will Smith, Lauryn Hill, YG Marley, Ice Spice, Tyla, GloRilla, Latto, Muni Long, Sexyy Red, Shaboozey, Victoria Monét and Tanner Adell.

Madam Boss has been hailing her tour to Los Angeles as a huge thing in her career as a creative artist and it’s hard for anyone to argue otherwise.

For her, the 2024 BET Awards could not have been staged in a better city than Los Angeles, which is often billed as the creative capital of the world.

Statistics show that one in every six of Los Angeles residents works in a creative industry and, according to Wikipedia, there are more artists, writers, filmmakers, actors, dancers and musicians living and working in Los Angeles than any other city at any other time in world history.

She will be rubbing shoulders with the likes of Cardi B, Davido, Gunna, the Roots, Common and Queen Latifah, who are global superstars in the musical industry.

Canadian rapper Drake leads BET Awards nominees with seven nods while Will Smith will perform his first song, since 2017, at the awards show.

Madam Boss will grace the red carpet event and it’s the latest chapter in her mission to showcase Zimbabwe’s entertainment industry on some of the biggest stages in the world.

The BET Awards are aimed at celebrating achievements in entertainment as well as recognising strides in music, sports, television, and movies.

Last month, Madam Boss attended the premier of Bridgerton Season 3 in Johannesburg, South Africa.

It’s very clear that Madam Boss is going places in terms of raising her profile, not only in Africa but also around the world.

She is providing an example to thousands, if not millions, of young creatives in this country that they should also pursue their dreams because no one can tell where it will take them.

She is showing that the potential, in the local creative industry, is amazing and those who are emerging on the scene should not only be thinking about doing well in this country but making an impact around the world.

Madam Boss knows that rubbing shoulders with the superstars she will meet in Los Angeles also means that there will be more focus on her when she returns and she has to be careful to ensure that her profile isn’t dragged into the mud.

That’s how the world works, the bigger your profile gets the more responsible you should become.

She should also use her proximity to all these superstars to pick some lessons about their world so that she can also use them to take her career, as a creative artist, to another level.

Well done Madam Boss, you have shown that one just doesn’t need to be negative to be a success story as a creative artist and if you work hard, leading an honest life, you can make it big in the world.
