Madinda to leave ECD bench

HIGHLANDERS FC coach Madinda Ndlovu is set to introduce a new way of doing things at the club that will also see him let go of the senior team dubbed ai???ECD.ai???

After a blistering start that has re-ignited hopes that the Zebra-shirted boys might finally end their decade-long championship drought, Ndlovu said he would likely shift focus to the clubai??i??s juniors, thereby leaving his trusted lieutenants Mandla Mpofu and Tembo Chuma to take charge of the senior team.

ai???Itai??i??s taxing. I get headaches every time when I am preparing for the next game or on the day of the match.

Highlanders has entrusted me in terms of trying to put structures right from the juniors, of which I have not even started. You see how much of a load I have ahead of me?Ai?? Now I have to try to get the technical team around me to understand the philosophy, the culture of the club as I think and understand it and make sure they adapt to that, so that I have the leeway to go up to the Under-14s. I will know that my lieutenants in the first team can handle the situation while I am with other age groups,ai??? said Ndlovu.

Bosso have swept almost all in their path in the infancy of the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League 2018 season. Ndlovuai??i??s return to the club where he is regarded as royalty has given the Bosso faithful hopes and dreams that 2018 is their year.

The former Warriors and Bosso winger laid bare his mission.

ai???It is part of my mandate to make sure we instil the same type of football right from the juniors to the first team. We are looking at that boy who has started with the Under-14s, adopting the kind of football that we want at Highlanders, so that they (juniors) donai??i??t have problems when coming to the mainstream.

The Bosso90 is the final point where we have to prepare the boys for the senior team. It is my interest to see whether what we talk of and what we train is achieved. When juniors start playing, you are definitely going to see me watching more games,ai??? he said.

Madindaai??i??s arrival to take over from Dutchman Erol Akbay was greeted with tough decision making. He showed the exit to a number of senior players that had become part of the furniture at the club.

Ex-skipper Eric Mudzingwa, forward Ralph Matema, midfielders Simon Munawa, Tendai Ngulube and Allen Gahadzikwa all left. . .
