Magaba Home Industry gutted by fire

The City of Harare Fire Brigade successfully contained a fire that broke out at Magaba Home Industry in Mbare this Tuesday.

Firefighters moved in swiftly and extinguished the blaze before it could spread to surrounding workshops and residential areas.

No casualties have been reported and the extent of the damage is yet to be assessed.

In a statement released on its Facebook page, the City of Harare urged residents to report fires immediately.

“Residents are encouraged to report fires to the Fire Brigade at the first sign of an outbreak as early reporting helps prevent fires from spreading and causing extensive damages,” the statement reads.

The cause of the fire at Magaba, a hub for metal fabrication and furniture making, is still under investigation.
