SABASTIAN Magacha is confident of filling the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on Saturday when he unveils his latest album.
Aptly named ‘‘I Am Favoured,’’ the much-hyped album launch coincides with his 20-year anniversary in the game.
What has raised the appeal of the album launch is that it parades a star-studded line-up in a bid to give fans value for their money.
Jah Prayzah, Mambo Dhuterere, Mathias Mhere, Zimpraise Choir, Tinashe Magacha, Mai TT, Madam Boss and Herman are part of the bill.
In an interview with H-Metro, the Bhosvo singer said it was all systems go.
“It has been three years now since I released an album with fans calling for new stuff from my camp.
“This time around, I am going to meet my fans and I also want them to enjoy the new music and show. The excitement and energy I have for this big day is incredible and I promise that we are going to have fun,” he said.
Magacha said he was elated with the support he was getting from people outside the country.
“It really feels good when people outside this country appreciate and support my work. People from as far as the United Kingdom and South Africa have been buying tickets directly from me.
“A lot of people around the world are promising to come for the album launch.
“I have faith that they will show up considering that some of them have already purchased tickets,” he said.
He added: “This album will bring healing to all those who seek it. I preach through my music and I also declare healing through music.
“I have been using music to give hope to those in despair.”
Magacha said that all the artists on the line-up will definitely perform at the launch.
“All the artists on the flyer are ready and are set for the launch. Artists like Herman, Tinashe Magacha, Jah Prayzah and Mhere are also going to perform on the day.
“People should also note that some of the singles I released earlier are part of the album. I have also done some collaborations with other artists. I included the song Shaina, which featured Herman, Mamero, which is another collaboration I did with Madam Boss,” he said.
