FC Platinum midfielder Hagiazo Magaya has attributed his continued stay at the club to the strong support system and sense of belonging since joining the Zvishavane side in 2019.

Now 10 games into the new season, Magaya says the backing from both the club and its passionate supporters has played a key role in keeping him motivated and focused.

It is one of the reasons why he opted to extend his stay at the club.

“The support I have received here at FC Platinum has been incredible,” said Magaya.

“It’s a place where I feel valued, and that pushes me to give my best every time I step onto the pitch.”

FC Platinum are currently navigating a transitional phase following the departure of several players and changes within the technical setup that saw Norman Mapeza leave to join Scottland.

The side find themselves on 11th position with only two wins, two loses and six draws.  Despite this, the midfielder believes the environment within the club remains strong enough to drive the team forward.

“We know we are going through changes as a team as we have a number of new players in the squad, but for us it’s about staying focused and working hard to improve with each game,” he said.

“As players, we have to take responsibility and make sure the team keeps moving in the right direction.”

Magaya has embraced the challenge of stepping up during this period, with the midfielder expected to play a more influential role as the season progresses.
