‘Magic’ oil prophet rapes client

appeared in court on Thursday.
Paul Mwakaereni (45) of 1671 Lusaka in Highfield allegedly told the 29-year-old church mate that her uterus was positioned upside down and the remedies would rectify her bareness.
Mwakaereni further applied the oil on his private parts before he raped her at his Cherima workplace.

He pleaded not guilty to rape charges when he appeared before Harare magistrate Mr Munamato Mutevedzi who remanded him in custody to July 14.
Mwakaereni was advised to apply for bail at the High Court due to the gravity of the offence he was facing.

State prosecutor, Ms Rufaro Mhandu, alleges that on June 24 at around 2pm, the complainant went to Mwakaereni’s “surgery” to collect some medicine since he was helping her with the problem of bareness.
On arrival, it is alleged the complainant entered into Mwakaereni’s house and was ordered to sit on the carpet.

He then closed the door before ordering her to take out her breast from her blouse and she complied, it is alleged.
He reportedly applied some oil on her nipples and told the complainant not to tell anyone about the issue.

Mwakaereni then ordered her to stand up and he then lowered her skirt where he then applied some oil on her abdomen and back, the court heard.
It is the State’s case that he also ordered her to remove her skirt and skin tight before he dipped his fingers in some oil that he then inserted into her private parts.

Afterwards he took some vicks, which he applied again on her private parts and told her, the uterus, which is up side down, has to come back in position, it is alleged.
The State further alleges that Mwakaereni immediately applied the same oil on his manhood and pushed her to the floor where he then raped her.

The complainant allegedly tried to scream but Mwakaereni gagged her mouth firm with his hand and ordered her not to tell anyone.
When the complainant got home, she immediately narrated her ordeal to her husband who accompanied her to the police for a report, which led to Mwakaereni’s arrest.
