Magistrates’ association mourns 2

The provincial magistrate in charge of Matabeleland South province, Mr Douglas Zvenyika died on July 8, while Mr Fabian Feshete, the resident magistrate for Chegutu magistrates’ court passed on, on July 14. In a condolence message, the MAZ secretary general Mr Munamato Mutevedzi said the void the two senior magistrates had left would be hard to fill.

“The two died in very tragic circumstances that left the entire magistracy shocked to the core and grief stricken to the extreme,” he said.
“There is no doubt this period has been one of the darkest to the family of magistrates in the country.

“We have been left speechless and bewildered and will only take solace in the fact that death is the only certainty in human life and is everyone’s way.
“They left a void which will be hard to fill.”

Mr Mutevedzi paid tribute to the Judicial Service Commission and the Chief Magistrate’s Office for the support during the bereavement.
MAZ, Mr Mutevedzi said, would stand with the two bereaved families during the trying times.

Mr Feshete was buried in Nyanga on Thursday last week, while Mr Zvenyika will be buried in Rusape on tomorrow.
