Entertainment Reporter
Gospel newbie Esther Bhunhu, more popularly known as Mai Bhunhu, is expected to launch her second album tomorrow at the Alliance Francaise.
Titled “Munyaradzi Volume II”, the six-track album is set to relaunch the singer’s career as it features a medley of sounds.
Tracks to watch out for include “Wagadzira Nhasi Here?”, “ Torambira Muzvivi Here?” “ Isu Kwete” and “Jehovah Mufudzi Wangu”.

Christopher Bhunhu, her manager, urged music fans to come in their numbers to worship at the album launch.

“We are expecting the group to tour after the launch because we want to reach out to people who live outside Harare. So far I can tell you that there is joy and happiness in the camp as the album is different from her first one,” he said.

He said the new album should push her career forward.

Mai Bhunhu leads a group called Chosen Vessels. She was born on March 17, 1979 in Chegutu in the Masamba family.

She grew up in a Christian family and started singing in her church’s praise and worship team at the tender age of 12. However, as a mother of six she has not looked back.

She is blessed with three boys and three girls among them a set of twins, a boy and a girl.

Her first album was recorded and produced by Diamond Studios in 2013. And with “Munyaradzi Volume II” Mai Bhunhu is set to take the gospel scene almost by surprise.
