THE Diary of a Black Depressed Woman is what comedian Felistas Murata Edwards better known as Mai TT is portraying of late.
She opened up that she is one of the many people battling with depression and anger management issues. Hence behind her jokes there is a woman battling with life’s conflicting emotions.
Her revelations come amid a feud with another female comedian Tyra Chikocho better known as Madam Boss — a once close confidante. Mai TT alleged that the latter slept her way through the entertainment industry to get by.
She told B-Metro that the snapping was a result of anger issues.
“I tried my best to be civil with Tyra but knowing very well that I was struggling with anger management issues she went on to talk bad about me,” said Mai TT.
Mai TT said she has tried to reach out for help from her pastors and counselling on how best she could deal with the ugly dilemma.
“I have talked to my pastors about my anger management issue and they are helping me deal with it,” said the comedian.
Mai TT said that depression is a disorder that’s going to kill her. At times she wakes up just to cry and let her emotions out.
“I am also facing depression problems, at times I wake up and start crying so I can free myself from the load on my shoulders,” she added.
She said she is just a human being like everyone else.
“We have a life beyond our Facebook and YouTube videos. I face serious issues where at times I don’t know what to do with my life but my pastor has always been there to help out,” she said.
