Mai TT, the ‘DOG’ and a verse in the Bible

HER wedding was on the same day with Brooklyn Beckham, the son of UK pop idol Victoria and football legend David

Brooklyn wedded American actress Nicola Peltz in a lavish £3 million wedding at the Peltz mansion in Palm Beach, Florida.

Socialite and entrepreneur, Mai TT, was not to be outdone.

She wanted her wedding to be as exquisite and lavish as Peltz’s big day, but in a Zimbabwean context.

The plush venue she settled for her union with Tinashe Maphosa is Royal Gates in Chisipite.

It doesn’t come cheap, and Mai TT doesn’t settle for cheap stuff.

She wanted to make a statement with every detail about her wedding jaw dropping, hence the venue was testament that although she would recite the well-known wedding vows, the difference would be in elegance.

She waxed lyrically about how she was deeply involved, in planning every detail of her big day, as she didn’t want to leave anything to chance.

We all believed it was a match-made-in-heaven.

She had a 16-member bridal team, with another socialite and businesswoman, Natalie Mhandu, songstress Diana Samkange Mangwenya, Faith Candy, Vimbai Kanyanda and Roselyne Nyika as bridesmaids.

Popular musicians, Mathias Mhere, John Chivasa, Tryson Chimbetu, Ba Harare and Andy Muridzo were all hired to entertain the guests. She even flew in South African songstress, Kelly Khumalo, to serenade her guests.

Mai Titi did not care to tell the world that her wedding rings cost US$3 500 and the wedding dress was US$4 000.

Just, like the creation story described in Genesis 1:31, when God saw everything that he had made, it was very good.

In her happy home in marriage paradise, Mai TT and Tinashe found themselves in joyful surroundings.

They could enjoy their marriage bliss in their home adorned with the most beautiful flowers of diverse colours.

But, things quickly changed and the marriage, previously beautiful and pleasant, started bringing forth thistles, thorns and poisonous talk.

Suddenly the marriage was cursed.

Mai TT’s remorse was bitter, but it was too late.

Just, as everything was described as very good in Genesis, the conclusion of the matter is rather grim.

Revelation 22:15 says outside the New Jerusalem are “dogs, sorcerers, whoremongers, murderers and idolaters.”

Mai TT recently called Tinashe ‘A DOG.’ which Revelation identifies as in company with sorcerers, in contrast with righteous-robed saints eating from the tree of life inside the New Jerusalem walls. Dogs have been described as man’s best friends.

In fact, they are adored and despised, cherished and detested at the same time.

The derogatory metaphor of calling Tinashe ‘a dog’ probably has no hostile intention, but merely reflects her inner feelings at being conned to marry a man she now equates to an animal.
