SUNGURA musician, Herbert Majeke, has decided to take some golden notes after engaging Nicholas ‘Madzibaba’ Zacharia for his song Gotsi Raforomani.
The song was released last week and has already made it onto the National FM top 20 charts.
“I engaged Madzibaba as a way to diversify my network and I wanted to take some golden notes.
“And, you know Madzibaba is a veteran singer and taking some notes from him is worthwhile.
“The song has made it onto National FM’s top 20 in just one week.
“It shows that our fans are enjoying the project and I am planning to come up with visuals for this song, Gotsi Raforomani,” he said.
Majeke said this year’s focus is on singles.
“This year I am putting my focus on singles and this is my third single from my studio, Majeke Records.
“I released another one in February, Ivhu Kuvhu and Muswe Ndakabata, which was in March.
“We are trying to reduce some pressure and we also don’t want to suffocate our fans.”
The Takashinga Stars boss believes in collaborations.
“Working with others helps to open our minds and learn from each other.
“We are growing in the industry and slowly we will be somewhere.
“I am also currently using the studio for promoting upcoming talent.
“This Friday we will be in Harare at the showgrounds.”
