CHAMPIONS Ngezi Platinum Stars are now target a League and Cup double on Sunday when they face Dynamos in the Chibuku Super Cup final at Baobab.
Ngezi, who clinched their first league championship in their seven-year dance in the top-flight league, can turn Baobab into a theatre of more celebrations on Sunday.
The Mashonaland West side won the tournament in 2016.
“They (players) don’t need to be psyched up, they know they are at work,” said coach Takesure Chiragwi.
“The reason for us to be champions is that they know how to win and play games.
“Now, this is the final and it’s an important prize for us as we want to finish on a high note.
“So, these guys have been doing this throughout the season and nothing has changed.
“We believe in them and they have been playing good football.”
Chiragwi added:
“It’s very important for me winning this trophy in my career but, firstly, for the Mhondoro community.
“It’s so amazing to bring the cup to Mhondoro.
“As a young coach, I am happy to win the championship, it’s a very big motivation.
“But, all these achievements are not a surprise to me.
“I know I put in a lot of effort into my story and also the guys, who are in the technical team and the staff of Ngezi, who put all this together and we have won this collectively.”
