SOUTH African diva, Makhadzi, now treats Zimbabwe as her second home, local music promoters say.
So touched by Zimbabweans’ hospitality is the Venda queen that she can’t resist holding shows on this side of the Limpopo.
With the festive season fast approaching, Makhadzi is preaching the gospel of unity as well as denouncing xenophobia.
As such, Makhadzi will be in Zimbabwe for the Unity Day commemorations.
She is set to hold two shows in Beitbridge and Harare as part of her visit to promote unity, peace and love.
The “energy goddess” is billed to hold her first show at Pagomba Café in Beitbridge.
She will then proceed to Harare for the main gig on Unity Day at Jongwe Corner.
Makhadzi has promised yet another polished performance.
One of the promoters, Chau Nedu, said people should expect the usual energy from the star.
“As the nation celebrates Unity day on the 22nd of this month, Makhadzi wants to fight xenophobia.
“The concerts are meant to unite the two countries and advocate against such behaviour.
“Makhadzi feels that this is her second home and has received much love during her previous performances,” he said.
Boss Chau, as the promoter is known, said Makhadzi feels loved by her Zimbabwean fans and is looking forward to this month’s performance.
“She is coming again to thrill her fans and is looking forward to a great show.
“Of course ,she will start her performances in Beitbridge but fans in Harare will not be left out as I indicated earlier on,” he said.
He said advance tickets are already on sale at Jongwe Corner, which has undergone a major facelift in recent months.
