POPULAR South African songbird, Makhadzi, is set to have her debut performance in Kwekwe on Saturday.
She is scheduled to feature in an event which has been dubbed the ‘Midlands Festival.’
The line-up also includes Seh Calaz, Silent Killer, Qounfuzed, Ninety 6, Godfather Templeman while Madam Boss will be the hostess.
Show coordinator, Dj Fydale, said:
“Makhadzi is loved by so many people and is popular for her electric performances.
“Many people are looking forward to watching her perform.
“A lot of other top acts are on the line-up, it’s a show we tried to package with interesting acts from the very start to the end.
“We also have up-and-coming Kwekwe acts that will warm up the stage so we are really hopeful it will be a show to remember for the locals.”
Makhadzi is no newcomer to Zimbabweans.
She boasts of a catalogue of hit songs and energetic stage performance.
The Midlands Festival seeks to bring top regional and continental acts to the town of Kwekwe.
“The Midlands Festival is an event dedicated to entertaining the locals of Kwekwe with top acts as well as boosting local tourism.
“Locals don’t have to travel to other cities to watch top acts, that’s why we have come up with this festival that brings top acts from the region and the continent.
“We have so much development also going on in the town as well as beautiful sites to visit and so the festival will help boost tourism to the town.
“We want so many people to visit, explore and experience the warmth and love of Kwekwe,” said DJ Fydale.
