THE exhilarating 2014 edition of the Zifa Matabeleland North Division Two inched towards the climax over the weekend with already promoted sides Makomo FC and Amagagasi both ending their campaigns with contrasting fortunes.Makomo ended a fairy tale campaign at the top with 84 points from 32 games after hammering Hwange Under-17s 2-0 at Old Ground while Victoria Falls side Amagagasi, who also booked their place in the Zifa Southern Region Division One league by virtue of being runners up, settled for a 1-1 draw at home with Fire FC to end on 73 points.
Barnabas Mudimbu and Blessing Paradza were on target for the champions while Donovan Rwizi (Amagagasi) and Blessing Muntanga (Fire FC) scored for their teams in the stalemate.
In a local resort town derby, Victoria Falls Tigers hammered Corinthians 5-0 to end on a high note.
