ZIFA Northern Region Division One leaders, Black Mambas, boosted their chances of winning the championship when they overcame Come Again 1-0 at Morris Depot on Saturday.
The John “Toto” Ncube-coached side edged a Come Again side now under the guidance of Bigboy Mawiwi.
“The team is playing as a unit and, after last week’s defeat at the hands of Chinhoyi Stars, we managed to bounce back,” said Ncube.
“We will remain focused on our coming fixtures.”
They were handed a boost as Commando Bullets, under the guidance of coach Nqobile Mafu, held Harare City to a goalless draw.
Chegutu Pirates continued with their fine run when they got the better of Shamva Mine at Pfupajena.
In the Eastern Region FC Wangu Mazodze maintained their lead at the top when they got the better of Surrey 4-2 as Tenax were restricted to a 1-1 draw by Midway.
