Dhuterere won the hearts of the big gathering with the song Mweya Ndisesekedze, an appeal to God to intervene during tough times.
During his performance, he urged people to desist from gender-based violence since it has serious consequences.
He also called for a collective effort in fighting gender-based violence.
“To everyone who wants to reach my level and status, please don’t beat your wives.
“It’s been 10 years in marriage with my lovely wife and I thank God I have never raised a hand on her. To all the students, who are here, don’t be intimidated to report GBV,” said Dhuterere.
During the celebrations, Maramba Primary school students held a procession carrying placards in which they denounced violence against women and girls.
