Mamelodi Sundowns wait on Monaco for Mahachi

MAMELODI Sundowns have yet to hear back from Monaco following Kudakwashe Mahachi’s trial with the principality club.
Mahachi is training with the Brazilians again after undergoing a two-week assessment with Radamel Falcao’s employers.
And while earlier reports suggested Mahachi impressed in France, Downs official Mike Ntombela says there has since been surprising silence on the part of Les Rouges et Blancs.

“He is back and training with the club,” says Ntombela.
“Normally when a player goes for trials, there is always a report about his assessment and so far we haven’t received anything from Monaco.”

Mahachi, a Zimbabwe international, signed with the PSL champions during the January transfer window, but spent the remainder of the 2013/14 season on loan at Highlanders back home.

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs have announced the signings of Ovidy Karuru and Phakamani Mngadi.
Zimbabwean midfielder Karuru signs on a three-year deal, having previously played for Belgian club OH Leuven.

Winger Mngadi also arrives from Belgium, where he plays for K.A.S. Eupen. He joins on an 11-month loan deal. Earlier, Chiefs missed out on the signing of long-term target Thabo Qalinge, who joined Orlando Pirates from Mpumalanga Black Aces. —KICKOFF.
