MDC-Alliance legislator Joana Mamombe allegedly skipped her bail reporting conditions on August 27 and the State wants her remanded in custody pending her trial.

The State, led by Mr Michael Reza, has since applied for revocation of her bail conditions when she appeared before Harare regional magistrate Mr Stanford Mambanje today.

Mamombe is said to have violated bail conditions imposed against her in a matter she is jointly charged with two Cecilia Chimbiri and Netsai Marova for violating the Covid-19 national lockdown regulations.

Mamombe is being represented by lawyer Mr Jeremiah Bamu.

The State will continue with the application this afternoon.
