A HARARE man has abandoned his sick wife for his girlfriend.

This was revealed at the Civil Court yesterday when Challenge Murozwa’s girlfriend, Tafadzwa Muswere, applied for a peace order against his wife, Beatrice Murozwa.

Tafadzwa claimed Beatrice constantly visited her house to insult and harass her.

But Beatrice denied the allegations.

“Your Worship, I have never done what she is claiming.

“I just asked her to move out of my matrimonial house.

“I fell ill and my relatives took me to get treatment, and when I returned, I found her in my house with my husband.  “Everything she is using belongs to me.”

He added:

“The children and myself don’t have a place to stay right now.

“She wants to benefit from my hard work.”

In response, Tafadzwa said:

“I don’t deny what she is saying, but I moved out after she assaulted me.”

Challenge said he was no longer interested in staying with Beatrice, as he was now in love with Tafadzwa.

However, magistrate Judith Taruvinga dismissed Tafadzwa’s peace order application saying it lacked merit.
