A SOUTHVIEW Park man has reported his neighbour to the police for allegedly stealing his laptop.
Brighton Mapfuka said he suspects Steven Taruvinga stole his laptop after gaining access through a wall plate.
He reported the matter at the Mbudzi police base under RRB 5532051.
“I strongly suspect that Steven gained access through the wall plate because there is an opening.
“He took advantage after seeing my wife going to town and he accompanied her to the bus stop.
“I suspect that he quickly returned and entered my house and stole my laptop.
“That same day I saw Steven hiding under my car, and when I called him, he never responded and then vanished.
“I confronted him the next morning, but he denied the accusation, and I reported the matter to the police,” said Brighton.
He added:
“I was informed by another resident that they saw Steven holding the power pack and a malfunctioning pink phone, which belongs to my child.
“This is not the first time Steven has been involved in criminal activities. I have lost valuables to him before.”
Steven denied the allegations.
“l don’t know what he is talking about as I never stole his laptop.
“I am currently in Highfield with my child who is not feeling well.
“I will, however, go and see him (Brighton) so that we can discuss this matter,” he said.
