A TWO-YEAR-OLD adulterous relationship between an immigration officer and a police officer’s wife has exploded into the open after the boyfriend, somehow, decided to reveal the affair to his girlfriend’s husband.
Nhlanganisi Sibanda, the immigration officer who is based at Beitbridge Border Post, has been dating Tafadzwa Sigauke, who is the wife of a police officer, since 2023.
He revealed their affair to Tafadzwa’s husband after she decided to end their romantic relationship and refused to give him back the laptop he had bought for her.
Their shenanigans remained a secret for two years until Tafadzwa decided to end the affair.Sibanda demanded his laptop back and Tafadzwa rejected those demands.
The immigration officer retaliated by disclosing his love affair with Tafadzwa to her husband.
Tafadzwa told H-Metro she was shocked by Sibanda’s move.
“To be honest with you brother, Sibanda is too childish,” said Tafadzwa.”I met him sometime in Gwanda and he proposed love to me.
“I gave in.
“Sibanda bought a new laptop as a gift. My challenge was how I was going to tell my husband where I got the laptop.
“I took it home and told my husband that I had bought it on installments.”
Tafadzwa said he felt guilty and decided to end the relationship after Sibanda kept pestering her with requests for sexual intercourse.
“Sibanda was disturbed by my decision and started to demand back his laptop.
“He went on to phone my husband, disclosing my affair with him.
“Kana ndiwewo, kudenha sekunonzi ipwere, hapana akambotibata kuti tirikudanana ndiye wega akaudza murume wangu.
“My husband is mad about it, he wants to take a legal action against Sibanda.
“I will not give him the laptop, I am a student and will use it, he is stupid,” said Tafadzwa.
Contacted for comment, Sibanda refused to entertain H-Metro to give his side of the story.
