A MARRIED MAN claims his wife spends one-and-half months praying at her church and he suspects she has a boyfriend.
Thomas Goto told the Harare Civil Court of the bizarre arrangement.
“She spends one-and-half months at church worshipping. Sometimes, she only spends one week at the house and returns to the mountains, where she says she will be praying,” said Thomas. However, Evelyn Chinhamo, denied the claims and claimed her husband wedded a white lady and bore children with her without her knowledge.
“Ane kamurungu, he does not want to have a wedding with me, his first wife, meaning when he dies we have nothing to get from him.
“We have been married for 48 years, I want money and have no shares in his properties.”
The presiding magistrate, Joana Mukwesha, ordered the couple to live in peace and told Goto that he should consider both wives in his property portfolio.
